Alan Keane is a visual artist whose practice relates to painting and the object. He lectures at LSAD In the Painting Department. He has exhibited and been on residencies throughout Ireland and abroad, including IMMA and a berth at sea on the Celtic Explorer. His work is on exhibit at the upcoming Inish Festival on Inishbofin 1-4th June. He writings have appeared in the VAI newsletter and his work has been reviewed in the Irish Times and the Guardian. He has a particular interest in music which informs his attitude and understanding of culture and society.
