Barstool slouch
Drink slugger
Avoid my reflection
In the mirror.

I ignore you- waster-
You’re drunk
You smell, you slur
I want to drink alone.

Neighbour spots me
Bar-seat pal
The worst kind
Of parasite.

You turn
Thump thump thump
Elbow on sticky bar-
No, I don’t come here often.

Would I prefer to
Remember or forget
Everything?-

Stupid drunken question.

Forget, forget
I scream-
Inward-
Why else would I be here?
