Poem of the Week | Would I shatter by Ruth Ennis
I don’t think
I’ve ever seen
A mirror in
My dreams
Maybe
The worlds
I build are
Too flat
To reflect
Beyond
My own
Plane
I don’t think
I’ve ever seen
People’s faces
In my dreams
Maybe a point
Of a nose
Or a curve
Of a cheek
But no blinking
Eyelashes
No peeling skin
On smirking lips
Maybe
In my dreams
My face is also
A blank canvas
That I don’t know
How to fill in
