Be Cool, Hannibal Buress Is Coming To Ireland

Hannibal Buress from Broad City, The Eric Andre Show, and Why? With Hannibal Buress (obvs) is bringing his Comedy Camisado Tour to Vicar Street on October 14.

So if you’ve been wondering why the comedy nerds in your life have been quivering slightly all weekend that’s why. I’ll be honest, I was just sitting down to write this when the whole David Cameron/Dead Pig news broke so I’m a little distracted but here’s a listicle of reasons why it would be a good idea to go see Hannibal Buress do comedy while he’s in Ireland.

Several Reasons To See Hannibal Buress Live In Vicar Street.

1. He’s very good at stand up. Here is on Jimmy Fallon last year. That bit’s also in his Live From Chicago special from last year so he more than likely won’t be doing it in Vicar Street. There’s nothing worse than checking out a comedian on YouTube and finding them funny and then you go see them and they do the bit you watched and the element of surprise is gone so it’s not as funny but if you hadn’t watched it then you wouldn’t have gone to see them and my point is this: Catch 22 is a classic novel with endless applications to how we live today.

2. He’s American. An American! In Ireland! We love that. Love when Americans come over to Ireland. Imagine the least famous American, some guy who works in an insurance office in a town of 50,000 people. Never been in a paper or on TV, living a life of quiet desperation. That guy’s more famous than literally everybody in Ireland, even Bono. Hannibal Buress is much more famous than that so if you go see him live then you might get a contact high from being in the same room as a famous American. How famous is he? Well, that brings us on to:

3. He’s in all of the things that you love. He’s in Broad City. He was in 30 Rock (briefly). He was in Louie. He was in High Maintenance. He’s in The Eric Andre Show. He’s in his own show. Mostly the Broad City thing though. Lincoln is probably the most likeable fictional character ever. He’s even more likeable than Paddington Bear who is universally acknowledged to be sound.

Here’s his episode of High Maintenance:

To conclude, here is Hannibal Buress as Morpheus.

Hannibal Buress plays Vicar Street on October 14th 2015. Tickets are on sale now. Say hello if you see me there. I’ll be the guy saying “He was brilliant in High Maintenance” in a punchable smug voice.
