Tittererer's Digest 25

Tittererer’s Digest #25 (feat. Marriage Equality)

Yo, hey what’s happening dudes? I’m a guy with a rep for bein’ rude. Not my words but the words of Bart Simpson. I’m curious though. What is happening dudes? If you’re like me you’re probably wrestling with a pretty heavy moral dilemma right now. In my heart I know that everyone should be free to run for president yet I find everyone younger than me repugnant and retch at the idea of a twenty-something head of state. Child kings belong in the middle-ages, that’s my opinion. But also: equality. There is much soul-searching to be done. Not on Marriage Equality though. If you’re voting no on marriage equality then you can go chew on a bee, that’s my opinion, no offence intended. Anyway, here’s a Tittererer’s Digest.

Controversy Of The Week

The Harry Shearer Thing. Who knows what’s going on with the Harry Shearer thing? Has he really left The Simpsons? Is it all part of his contract negotiations? Is The Simpsons even still on? Has anybody checked? So many questions. Here at Tittererer’s Digest, we only know one thing: Do The Bartman remains a stone-cold jam.

Clips Of The Week

Seeing as we’re all going to the polls this week and voting yes (right?), We thought it’d be nice to gather together some of the excellent pro-marriage equality comedy clips from the last while.

First up, Martin’s Life. Martin is a mysterious figure who has been kind enough to animate bits of his life for our entertainment. His marriage equality video was everywhere last week and now it’s here too.

Pondering Media produced this very informative video about the religious objections to marriage equality.

You can watch Pondering Media’s other contributions to the debate here and here

Finally, our clip of the week from TD#24 makes a welcome return. Tara Flynn and Diarmuid O’Brien’s Making Things (Like Your Mind) Up

Gig of the Week

Alison Spittle and Sofie Hagen’s Irish Tour

We had a nice chat with Alison Spittle last week which should give you all the incentive you need to go to one of the three (3) gigs that she and very- funny-Westlife-obsessed-Danish comedian Sofie Hagen are doing around the country this week in the following places:

Anseo, Camden Street, DUBLIN 18th of May, doors 20.30

M.V.P Upper Clanbrassill Street, DUBLIN 19th of May, doors 20.30

Roisin Dubh, Dominick Street, GALWAY 20th of May, doors 20.30

Another week, another digest. Hopefully Tittererer’s Digest #26 will be written in a country where LGBT people are free to marry whomever they like and the under-35s are barred from ruling over us like some horrendous Pitt The Younger II: Meet The Pitts. Goodbye
