Tittererer’s Digest #54 (feat. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler)

Hello! It’s the last Tittererer’s digest before Christmas and you know what that means. That’s right! Absolutely no Christmas content whatsoever because comedy isn’t bound by seasons like us mortals. Global warming came to the Tittererer’s Digest many moons ago and now our content is permanently hot hot hot. The comedic Arctic ice melted and raised the sea levels of hilarity for us all. Hoo. Ray. Anyway look! It’s Limmy, and Con10t, and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and Do This Now. The planet is dying but we’re still alive.

1. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in Sisters

Look, we all know that there’s another film out this week. A film about a star and his wars. But if you’ve never seen any Star Wars or it’s just plain sold out, you could go and see Sisters (released Dec 18th) starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I tried to see Avatar the day after Stephen’s Day when it came out. It was sold out so I saw Sherlock Holmes instead. Sherlock Holmes was a much better film so let that be a lesson to you. Plus, any time spent in the company of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler is a blessing that we should hold close and cherish. They play a pair of sisters, one sensible, one non-sensible who return to their family home to throw one last party before it gets sold. I’m not important enough to see films in advance but it’s getting good reviews so yeah. Sisters – it’s not Star Wars.

Limmy’s Show aired on BBC Scotland between 2010 and 2012 and now we can finally watch it here without having to buy a DVD. Living the dream.

3. Con10t – Irish People Try American Foreign Policy

We featured Con10t’s first video last week because it was made by some of our favourite Irish comedy people (Diarmuid O’Brien, Giles Brody, Alison Spittle, Edwin Sammon, and Heber Hanly) and was very funny. We’re featuring their second video this week because it still features some of our favourite Irish comedy people and is again very funny. Will they make it three weeks in a row? No because there won’t be a Tittererer’s Digest next week. There’ll be something else because it’s Christmas.

Many of these people will also be appearing at The Mess Around Toy Show this Friday December 18th so check that out as well. It’s going to be a night to remember.

4. Do This Now

Do This Now is the the vlog of “two super-hot, semi-professional bitches with good heads on our shoulders who know what we want and what you should do”, (UCB people Carrie McCrossen and Kristen Acimovic). There are seven videos and they’re all worth your time. It’s very funny you guys. Get in on the ground floor with Do This Now.

So that’s it. See you on the other side of Christmas.
