Bob Gallagher – Music Videos

Bob Gallagher is a short film and music video director based in Dublin. Working across a variety of formats and styles, his work constantly seeks to explore new subjects, interesting stories and different ways of looking at how people behave. This body of work veers between narrative, experimental, and documentary styles of film-making, often drawing on personal themes transposed to figurative settings.

Bob has recently completed his third short film, an atmospheric apocalyptic drama titled "Zephra", as part of the 2013 Filmbase/RTE Short Film Award. Bob's previous film, the victorian costume drama "Sometimes People...", has screened at festivals across Europe and the US, and tells the tale of two Victorian lesbians who explode upon kissing. Bob's first short film "Sleight of Hand" was a sentimental exploration of the relationship between a magician and his granddaughter, which received the Kildare County Council Film Bursary Award.

Always keen to collaborate with other artists Bob has directed videos for a number of Irish acts including Myles Manley, The Amazing Few, Swords, Tandem Felix, and Elaine Mai, as well as videos for international artists Lewis Lazar and Tom Cooney. Bob's current project "XOXO" is a short film collaboration between his team in London and another filmmaking team in New York, which is expected for completion in April 2014.
