Fair Game #21 | Fair Game Meets… Kellie Harrington

On this episode we’re joined by an Irish sportswoman who’s been boxing clever and blazing a trail for her country in the process… in May of last year, KELLIE HARRINGTON made history as only the fifth ever Irish boxer to contest a World Championships final – and she came home with a silver medal proudly in her clutches. At the beginning of this year she won her seventh national title, her first at lightweight – and has gone on to claim several other medals in the division since then, most recently striking GOLD at the Boxam Elite tournament in Tenerife.

Kellie takes to the FAIR GAME hot-seat to tell us all about what has been a whirlwind 18 months of competitive action for her, and the new doors that success has opened for her in terms of training – with lots of insights into her life outside of the boxing ring, too. From teenage kicks, to chocolate cravings, to periods and performance, to psyche-up soundtracks – we talked about it ALL. There’s also take a look ahead to the major championships of 2018, and sights set on the target of Tokyo 2020… it’s a knockout!
