NO ENCORE: THE REVISIT | 2000

THE REVISIT podcast returns to tackle a given year in Irish music and the gold standard thereof.

It’s gone all Y2K – remember that particular hysteria? – this time out as regular hosts Dave Hanratty and Delorentos man Kieran McGuinness travel back to 2000 alongside Michael Pope (Le Galaxie), Brian Lloyd (Entertainment.ie) and Colm ‘Q’ Quearney (a seasoned collaborator with the likes of Cathy Davey, Damien Dempsey, Mundy, Mark Geary, Bronagh Gallagher, The Pale and Jerry Fish in addition to his own solo offerings).

Once again, the shortlist serves up plenty for discussion and debate. Under the microscope this time out…

DAMIEN DEMPSEY – THEY DON’T TEACH THIS SHIT IN SCHOOL

DAVID HOLMES – BOW DOWN TO THE EXIT SIGN

DAVID KITT – SMALL MOMENTS

JJ72 – JJ72

U2 – ALL THAT YOU CAN’T LEAVE BEHIND
