New podcast by Dolly Parton and James Patterson launches
Spotify have teamed up with country singer Dolly Parton and best-selling author James Patterson to create a brand new audio experience blending Patterson’s gripping storytelling and Parton’s original music. Run, Rose, Run Bookcast will be available for free exclusively on Spotify, with new episodes releasing weekly.
“We are honoured to partner with Dolly Parton and James Patterson on Run, Rose, Run,” Dawn Ostroff, Spotify’s Chief Content and Advertising Business Officer said. “This unique audio experience exemplifies the limitless potential of audio and Spotify’s commitment to partnering with exceptional creative talent on new innovative formats.”
“I still can’t believe that I get to launch Spotify’s first-ever Bookcase with my buddy James Patterson,” Dolly Parton said via Spotify. “I hope that listeners will be able to feel the connection between the book and the album as we work to bring this story and these characters to life, as only two storytellers can.”
“I’ve been a fan of Dolly Parton’s storytelling for years, so I was thrilled to collaborate with her on Run, Rose, Run and bring these characters to life,” James Patterson said.
Run, Rose, Run follows an aspiring musician who travels to Nashville to pursue her dreams. But she holds a brutal secret that serves as the inspiration for her heart-wrenching songs, and she soon learns that her hidden past threatens the future she’s trying to build.
The Run, Rose, Run soundtrack released today through Butterfly Records in partnership with Ingrooves/UMG. The novel will be released on March 7th along with the final six episodes of the Bookcase. The first two episodes of the Bookcase debuted last week, February 23rd.
