Roger Garcia is the Executive Director of the Hong Kong International Film Festival, he’s a writer and film critic and a film producer.

Roger Garcia is also responsible for the Asian Film Awards Academy, Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum Project Market, and more stuff too. Basically, he has a lot going on.

Roger Garcia is a busy and important man. Regardless of all that, he took twenty minutes out of his incredibly jam-packed day to chat to Alan and Conor on The HeadStuff Podcast about martial arts movies, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Corey Yuen and Cynthia Rothrock as well as the DIFF Pix Hong Kong Kicks festival that’s happening this weekend in the Lighthouse Cinema.

Alan Bennett was a stand-up comedian for a while and during that time he toured with David O'Doherty and Maeve Higgins and did well in some competitions and co-ran Schnitzel Comedy Club. Then he started writing fiction and it has been published in several literary magazines and anthologies including 30 Under 30 which Joseph O'Connor chose as one of his books of the year for The Irish Times. He received a Masters with first class honours in creative writing from UCD and a BA in fine art painting from LSAD. Now he's working on getting his novel on, and being in charge of HeadStuff.org.
