Episode 17 – Ken Early

Ken Early, the flame-haired flame-thrower of truth, sat down for an old chin wag on The HeadStuff Podcast, and, unsurprisingly we ended up talking about sport a lot. I like talking about sport, and Ken Early is my favourite voice in sport journalism, so, logically, it was fun. We also talk about literature, and how a lot of Shakespeare makes no sense, and how Leo Tolstoy wrote about that, and about how George Orwell basically said “shut up, Tolstoy.”

Unfortunately we recorded this before Ireland beat Germany in the Euro Qualifiers, and the Irish rugby finished on top of their pool in the Rugby World Cup, so, there’s no mention of those things. Future predicting podcasts will be coming soon… we know.

The Second Captains podcast is released on Mondays and Thursdays, and if you like sportsball like I do, you should definitely listen to it. The TV show is on RTE and Ken’s sport writing can be found in The Irish Times.
