#9 | The Suss on Scientology

On this week’s episode, Glenn and Steph are joined in studio by ex-member of the Church of Scientology turned critic Pete Griffiths for an in-depth chat about life in one of the world’s most famous cults. Since establishing their European base in Firhouse in 2017, Scientologists have been eager to engage with the local community via open days and even sending reading literature to local schools. Currently, we are unsure of how many Scientologists are resident in Ireland, as the church likes to keep this private but Pete provides an insightful look into how the church operates and indeed how difficult it is to leave.

We bring back our rewind segment to look at fresh developments regarding the possibility of Irish Public Services Cards being linked to our social network accounts.

Other topics on the table include a big thumbs up for Repeal Shield – a Twitter account helping to block pro-life troll accounts, and Irish Twitter sensation Big Dirty Fry’s hilarious satire of the Irish media.

Getting the down this week from the twosome are BlindBoy Boatclub’s comments about the left and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar’s fresh attacks on welfare cheats.

Playing us out this week is the wonderful Æ MAK back with a brand new single ‘Glow’.
