Born into a creative family (both her parents and grandparents are artists), it’s only natural that Anna Filimonova began painting at a very young age. The Russian painter has gained versatility in many mediums, but the common thread which intertwines her work is her abstract style. The vibrant colours express movement, while her detailed line-work unveils subtle complexities in her work. In 2006 Anna participated in the exhibition of youth in Ryazan, and the regional seasonal exhibitions of the Union of Artists of Russia every year from 2005 to 2009. Some of Anna Filimonova’s paintings are in private collections in Russia, USA, Great Britain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, China, Japan and Australia.
