I have just watched this video and I don’t know what I want more, beautiful women seeking my feedback on their acting, or impeccable taste (and the cash to afford such taste).
Everything is so much better when you hire quality, and obviously for this video they’ve spent some money on talented actors, (Le Chiffre!) directors, production etc. It’s class. I didn’t fully know what was going on until the end, but then when I saw it, I had to really wonder if I would have acted different to our successful friend with the impeccable taste.
In THE CALL, Mads plays the role of a successful actor who is rehearsing his lines with beautiful Swedish actress Malin Buska. Malin Buska tries hard to hold onto his attention but a phone call seems more important. Will he answer the call? And who is on the line? This highly entertaining and extremely stylish film will keep you watching to find out if Malin Buska does succeed in her passionate pursuit of Mads Mikkelsen.
#THECALL is a short film of around 6 minutes and the first of two films that Mads Mikkelsen has made for Danish furniture retailer BoConcept. The second film is called THE GUEST and will be launched later this year. Both films were shot on location in best-selling BoConcept designer Morten Georgsen’s amazing villa in Valencia Spain.
‘I am an actor so I want to act and this is exactly what I do in the two films,’ says Mads Mikkelsen about his appearance in the two BoConcept films that are not commercials in the traditional sense.
Mads Mikkelsen has been closely involved in the development of the scripts of both films where he has worked together with Director and friend Dejan Cukic as well as Technical Director Thomas Busk who most recently worked with Mads on the film ‘The Salvation’. It was a small reunion that took place for six days on location where some of the best from the Danish film industry were part of the crew: ‘I very rarely take on commercial roles, but these films are different. BoConcept didn’t hire an advertising agency to write the script but allowed professional film makers to do what they do best and I am very happy to have had the opportunity to create something unique and special together with a team of great Danish colleagues,’ says the star.
