#11 The Ethics of Eating Meat – Keith Coleman of Fia & Dr Lilian Alweiss

With Relish #11 The Ethics of Eating Meat – Keith Coleman of Fia & Dr Lilian Alweiss

This week’s episode of With Relish looks at the ethics of eating meat, preparing meat and the morality sounding it all. We’ve decided to take a different approach to what is an already well-discussed theme so in many food circles, so if you are worried that you may be in for an hour-long nag fest you, fear not.

In our first interview, Keith Coleman owner of Fia in Rathgar tells us about his bizarre journey in, out and finally back into the meat-eating world, all stemming from a childhood illness. Dubbed a very “considered cook” by our own Aoife Allen, Keith’s relationship with the food he cooks differs to many chef’s currently in the food industry.

Finally Dr Lilian Alweiss – Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Trinity College dropped by to speak about the more philosophical aspect of relationships with animals with some really thought-provoking questions being asked throughout.
