From the uproarious chuckles of comedy podcasts, to the mind-bending twists of the thriller genre, and the insightful wisdom of factual storytelling, our shortlist has something for every kind of ear’ – Irish Podcast Awards

Podcasts on the network have been nominated across five categories including best comedy podcast, best entertainment podcast, best factual podcast, best wellbeing podcast and best interview.

Fad Camp, a comedy podcast about the ridiculousness of fad diets hosted by Grace Mulvey and Conor Dowling, has been nominated for both best entertainment podcast and best wellbeing podcast. Fad Camp recently hosted their first live show as part of The Dublin Fringe Festival as their listeners are continuing to grow and grow.

The nominations for best factual podcast include both Basically…with Stefanie Preissner and For Tech Sake.

Preissner’s weekly podcast takes news stories and makes sense of them. Past guests include leading television host Ryan Tubridy, immunologist Luke O’Neill, and Tánaiste Micheál Martin.

For Tech Sake is a co-production from Silicon Republic and HeadStuff Podcasts. The show is hosted by Elaine Burke and Jenny Darmody and with each episode they set out to ‘take a side-eye view of tech, not evangelising or demonising it, but definitely throwing a bit of shade when it’s deserved.’

Agony Rants are also celebrating a nomination in the best comedy podcast category. The podcast is hosted by Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh and comedian Gearóid Farrelly, who offer advice and unconditional support to their devoted listeners. The show has recently celebrated its 100th episode and are launching a new bonus series, exclusively for HeadStuff+ members, along with a merch drop.

Personality Bingo with Tom Moran is nominated in the best interview category. Each episode Tom chats to a special guest using the medium of random questions as chosen by bingo balls. Past guests include Paul Mescal, Bressie and Michael Fry.

The HeadStuff Podcasts has also been nominated in the best network category once again this year. This exciting news has come at the same time as they launch their stunning new website for their network. It’s onwards and upwards for HeadStuff!
